    ABOUT THE BRAND

Why we love it: SISSEL EDELBO's upcycled saris are a mix of print & mystery with a simple Nordic cut. And this Christmas they have a little surprise with unique and colourful Christmas ornaments.

Founded in 2004 by the Danish duo Jeanne Sissel Thomsen and Christina Edelbo Petersen, who have a love for India and their beautiful saris. They handpick saris for their sustainable collections that are unique and different in both weaving and quality and for them it is essential that they are up-cycled. Great effort and joy is put in selecting the most beautiful in pattern, color and quality, before redesigning them into unique dresses, tops, and jackets. Buying Sissel Edelbo means supporting a sustainable future for the fashion industry. Each piece tells the story of the Indian heritage and their amazing women dressed in their vibrant traditional saris.
