The APL sneaker is made of apple leather and colored with organic dyes. Apple leather sneakers can be treated just like regular leather sneakers. Apple leather is exceptionally strong, naturally UV-resistant, and it’s a cruelty-free material. Light stain? Wipe with a dry cloth. Stubborn stain? Wipe with a damp cloth (not wet) and then let the leather air dry. Never wipe hard. Being gentle and taking your time is the key. Preferably use a cleaner for artificial leather. If wiping is not enough to remove a stain, you can use a leather cleaner. Whichever cleaner you decide to use: always test the product in a small, unobservable spot first. You absolutely don’t want to make a second stain while trying to clean the first one. Protect your APL’s against stains and water damage with a faux leather protector. Apply this before wearing them for the first time. Do not put them in your washing machine. This is absolutely not allowed. Remove the laces and clean them separately. Never immerse your sneakers in water.
